An amazing happening...

For those of you who know me well, hopefully you're sitting down for this one.  I have eaten my first salad of my entire life.  That's right, it had real lettuce and everything.  While I'm still not going to eat iceberg lettuce, I have expanded my food repertoire to include romaine, field greens, and spinach.

For those of you who don't know me well, here's a run down of other things I've never eaten.
- Hot dogs
- Fast food hamburgers (Portillo's is the closest I will get)

I think that's the extent of my list.  Since I met Janell, I've become more adventurous with what I'll eat.

For you doubters, here is photographic evidence too.  :)

Just to keep you updated, we haven't heard back from The Rachel Ray Show yet.  We think it would be great to be able to share our experiences, and why we did the dollar-a-day, to such a large audience.  We'll see what happens though.  I'll keep you posted.  :)

  1. ....I don't know what to say. I think I'm speechless. Are you sure this isn't trick photography?

  4. I'm a witness, and I'm more shocked than anyone. I had just reconciled myself to the fact that I would never really be able to make a salad for dinner...and now this. :)

  6. Old African proverb says when a tiger is young he is fast, his teeth are sharp and he rips apart his prey. But when he is old he is slow, his teeth are dull and he chomps on roots and grass. So watch what a man eats to see if he is young or old.

OK -that was all just a bunch of made up baloney. Speaking of baloney- will that be on the next post Andy?
